Delay for jailed Kiwi in Cambodia

There has been frustration overnight for New Zealander Graham Gleghorn, who is in a Cambodian jail serving a 20 year term for raping five Cambodian girls.

His appeal hearing lasted only 10 minutes at a Phnom Penh court before it was adjourned.

The five girls and their lawyers failed to arrive at the court for the hearing, so the presiding judge put off the appeal until early in January.

58 year old Cleghorn, a former traffic officer, was jailed in 2004 for raping the girls who worked as housemaids in his home.

But, he claims he was set up by a group that assists abused women - so it could continue to take in money from foreign donors.
