Rape conviction re-appealed

New Zealander Graham Cleghorn, jailed in Cambodia for raping five young women, re-appealed his conviction yesterday, more than a year after protesting his first appeal hearing which was held in secret.

Cleghorn, 60, was sentenced to 20 years' jail after being convicted in February 2004 of raping the women, all of whom had worked at his home in the town of Siem Reap. The former tour guide has repeatedly denied the charges.
