	Radio NZ July 10 2007; 16:09 Cambodian Court rejects Cleghorn appeal Convicted New Zealand rapist Graham Cleghorn will stay in a Cambodian jail after a court rejected his appeal on Tuesday. Cleghorn was convicted in February 2004 of raping five young women who had worked at his home in the tourist town of Siem Reap. He was sentenced to 20 years in prison. Cleghorn, who was not at Tuesday's hearing, has repeatedly denied the charges, saying he was framed by an activist group involved in helping to prosecute sex crimes. But the presiding judge upheld the conviction, saying the Appeal Court found Cleghorn had called the victims into his room to massage him and forced them to have sex with him. His first appeal was thrown out in January last year after a hearing that neither Cleghorn nor his lawyer attended.
